food, wine & joie de vivre

good food, good wine, meaningful exploration, and the joy of following inspiration wherever it leads. These are a few of my favorite things…

here, it’s all about living a beautiful, intentional life now—not waiting for the right time, perfect plan, or anyone else’s permission.

consider this your invitation to slow down, savor the moment, and create something extraordinary from the everyday.

I believe in creating a life that feels as good as it looks. For me, that’s carving out space to write, curate, and elevate the beauty in small things - meals, moments, and memories. Table pour un is my love letter to all of it: a cozy corner of the internet filled with food, wine, and the art of living beautifully, one thoughtful detail at a time. Pull up a chair, I saved you a seat…

Sipping and Swooning: My Current Wine Obsession

Caruso & Minini has officially got me in my feels. Sicily’s been on my radar lately—not just because I’m daydreaming about a sun-soaked getaway (though, yes, always), but because the wines are seriously intriguing and feel like they’re on the brink of a major moment. I first discovered their skin-contact white (aka orange wine) about a year ago and was shocked by how much I loved it.

2024 Breaking Bread “Marmalade” - Sonoma County, CA

Marmalade is not your average white wine—it’s a sun-kissed skin-contact sipper (aka orange wine) from California’s Dry Creek Valley, made with a zesty blend of Muscat Blanc (70%), Chardonnay (15%), and Sauvignon Blanc (15%). Fermented with native yeast (aka natural wine) and left on the skins for 10 days (for color, texture, and flavor), it’s wild, unfiltered, and full of character—no sulfur added, just pure, juicy goodness. It bursts with apricot, orange blossom, and jasmine, with just the right balance of bright acidity and creamy texture.

Picking Up Where We Left Off…

Leaving the serene hills of Old Mission Peninsula, I made my way back into town for an urban tasting room stop—but not just any. Quick note before we dive in: while this post can absolutely stand on its own, I recommend reading Part One for the full adventure across Traverse City and Old Mission (plus some can’t-miss wine, food, and scenic stops).

If there’s one winery that has been recommended to me more than any other, it’s Left Foot Charley, tucked inside the historic Village at Grand Traverse Commons (more on that gem later).

A Long Overdue Escape to Traverse City (with Stops You'll Want to Make)

After two years of living in Southwest Michigan, I finally made the scenic drive up the coast to Traverse City. I’m slightly embarrassed to admit how long this gem has been sitting on my “live list” (because doesn’t that sound so much better than “bucket list”?!), but I’m happy to report—it absolutely lived up to the hype. Traverse City delivers.

5 Unexpected Wines For an Elevated Easter Table

One of my favorite parts of any holiday?
The excuse (okay, opportunity) to curate a fresh wine portfolio. Easter is especially exciting—it hints at spring’s return and calls for bottles that feel bright, hopeful, and maybe just a little indulgent.

While I like to think my picks have universal appeal, I love to think they’re different than your average Easter list. I lean into small-production wines with real heart—think natural practices, thoughtful sourcing, and a whole lot of soul in the bottle.
